Ole Henriksen Let’s Get Luminous Brightening Essentials Set Review
My love for skincare sets grows! I still feel there is no better way to try new skincare products out than a mini-size. It gives you the chance to experience it before investing in a full-size product. The Ole Henriksen Let’s Get Luminous Brightening Essentials Set has got to be the best skincare set I have tried to date. Having tried the Kate Somerville Hydration Warriors Kit and the Mario Badescu Kit, the Ole Henriksen set is my clear favourite. I love each of the products in this skincare set equally, which is such a bonus. I have become obsessed with Vitamin C in my skincare routine recently, so if…

Kate Somerville Hydration Warriors Kit Review
Following on from my last post (read here) about mini-sized skincare products, I thought I would review the Kate Somerville Hydration Warriors Kit. This kit is definitely much higher priced than the Mario Badescu Kit I previously reviewed. However, I still stand by kits in general, as I do believe minis are the best way to try out new products – particularly skincare items that are at a higher price point. This enables you to try before you invest your money into a full-size product that you may not like, or your skin may not agree with. So, on to the Kate Somerville Hydration Warriors Kit review. I will say…

Mario Badescu Anti-Aging Kit Review
If there is one thing I love in skincare, it’s mini-sized products. It lets you try out the product at a smaller size without investing in the full size – this can save you a lot of money if you don’t like it, or the product doesn’t agree with your skin. So a big thank you to brands that make mini-size products available. So, on to the Mario Badescu Anti-Aging Kit Review! Spoiler alert – this anti-ageing kit is really good!

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray Review
Your makeup looks perfect and you are heading out for the day or night, one thing you don’t want to worry about is fussing with your makeup. This is where setting sprays come in handy. I want to share with you my thoughts on Urban Decay All Nighter makeup setting spray. Setting sprays or finishing sprays are exactly as they sound, they set your makeup in place. After you have applied your makeup, setting sprays hold your makeup in place all day and night.

Why Serums Should Be A Skincare Staple
Today I am talking about facial serums, and why I think they should be a staple in a good skincare routine. Up until last year, I had never used a serum before. I thought serums were just an opportunity for the skincare industry to make more money from us, but I was wrong – so wrong! After walking past a mirror I rarely look in by my front door with plenty of natural light hitting it (wow, natural light can be so unforgiving!), I was mortified when I saw quite a large, deep wrinkle on the top of my cheekbone. I know wrinkles are part of life, and I do…

Have You Discovered Jo Malone London?
I have always loved perfume. But it’s only been the last few years I have started to wear higher-end fragrances again after falling in love with YSL’s Black Opium (read my post here). I had never heard of Jo Malone London before, but I was captivated when I first saw their display in a department store. It looked so luxurious, with clean crisp white furniture, and beautiful clear understated bottles – it was simply stunning. There are so many tester bottles of perfume on display (it was a bit overwhelming, but exciting at the same time), but there was one scent that had me hooked straight away – enter Mimosa…

Let’s Talk About Lip Care
Today, I am talking all about lip care. I have never really suffered from dry lips in the past until now. I have always kept a lip balm in my makeup bag, but more often than not it expired before I had finished it. This past winter I have really experienced what it feels like to have dry, chapped lips. So I want to share with you what I have been using to help care for my lips.

Too Faced Turns 20!
I can’t believe Too Faced have been around for 20 years (Happy Birthday Too Faced!). I have only discovered Too Faced in the last few years, as until recently, their products weren’t available in Australia. I must admit though, I do not own any Too Faced makeup (that is definitely changing this Christmas!) but, I have been buying Too Faced for a few years now for my daughter (softoctobernight), and, from time to time, using hers! I am very impressed with their makeup. Whenever I go into Mecca (similar to Sephora), Too Faced is my first pitstop.

Double Cleansing with Micellar Water
I had never heard of double cleansing with Micellar Water before until my daughter (softoctobernight) told me all about it. Since I have really been trying to lift my skincare game lately and have gone back to using face masks again (read here), I decided to try this double cleansing routine out! I am so glad I did – I am definitely hooked!

Face Masks – Why You Need Them
Today on Rediscovering My Style I am talking about my rediscovery of face masks. I used to use face masks all the time in my late teens and early twenties, but like a lot of things in life, they certainly got forgotten about over the years. It wasn’t until my daughter (softoctobernight) started using masks that I took notice of them again (she had mainly been using them for acne). When she started to use charcoal/mud masks, it really reminded me of the face masks I used to use. I saw how clear my daughter’s skin was looking and I thought, time to use face masks again! I am so…
