Urban Decay Eyeshadow Palettes – are they worth it?

I never really wore eyeshadow that often when I was younger and I now know why. In one word – fallout!

It is so annoying when applying eyeshadow and it just falls down on your face! I always had problems with fallout until I started to use high-end eyeshadow, they really make a big difference.

My daughter got me back into wearing eyeshadow several years ago but after another bad experience (again fallout) with a budget brand I gave up yet again. Then, through my daughter, I discovered Urban Decay Naked3. What a breath of fresh air, this palette is amazing! Best of all – no fallout!

Hallelujah!

Let’s talk about how gorgeous the Urban Decay Naked3 packaging and the case are!

Wow, eyeshadow palettes have certainly come such a long way since I was buying them many years ago. I just love the rose gold metallic case with the Naked3 logo embossed on the top. I had never seen such a beautiful eyeshadow palette case before – it really shouts at you to open it up!

The case is very easy to open although my daughter has the same palette and hers is harder to open, so I am not sure if I was lucky or she was unlucky.

Inside Urban Decay’s Naked3 gorgeous case you will find 12 rose-hued toned neutrals (mainly pinks and browns) in a range of finishes and textures, of smooth mattes, pearls, and metallics.

The case comes with a double-ended shadow/blending brush in synthetic fiber, in line with Urban Decays 100% cruelty-free ethos. However, I only use this brush on the inner corner of my eyes as a highlighter, as I find this brush too hard on my eyelids.

These eyeshadows are so soft and blendable, it is a pleasure to apply eyeshadow using this palette. At last, I had found the perfect eyeshadow palette for me!

As an extra bonus, this palette comes with an Urban Decay Primer Potion sample pack, in four different primers: Orignal, Eden, Sin and Anti-ageing.

I love samples as you can test products out before going to the expense of purchasing them first. The downside is they are slightly hard to squeeze out of the foil pack but you get to try them at least.

Some Naked palettes have come and gone within the Naked range over the years, but these are the current palettes. You may be able to still find discontinued ones that are still available at different retailers.
