Jumiso – Brand Review

*This post contains affiliate links

I was recently lucky to receive these three beautiful Jumiso skincare products sent out by Bazzaal, a Marketing agency, for me to test and review. This is my first time trying out Jumiso products so I was excited to see how they stacked up, and I was not disappointed one bit! My love for Korean skincare continues to grow – keep reading for my thoughts on these lovely products.

Who Are Jumiso?

Jumiso is a Korean skincare beauty brand, with all of its products made in Korea. Their ethos is to give smiles to all their customers, as you can see in the cute logo they have incorporated a smile into the “J” of the brand name. The name Jumiso translates to:

  • “Ju” – to give
  • “Miso” – smile

They also have created their own little illustrations and characters to identify their products clearly on their packaging.

All Day Vitamin Brightening & Balancing Serum

All Day Vitamin Brightening & Balancing serum is a non-water-based, high-concentrate vitamin serum. Suitable for all skin types. It helps brighten and tone the skin leaving it healthy and balanced. It is also listed as being beneficial for acne and evening out the skin tone.

The key ingredient in this serum is over 85% Sea Buckthorn. Sea Buckthorn, in case you didn’t know like me, is a small berry grown on a shrub mostly found in Asia and Europe. This ingredient is full of the amazing vitamins A, B, C, D, E and K. These vitamins claim to brighten the skin, as well as aid in wound healing and skin recovery.

I have been really enjoying this serum in the mornings, and a little goes a long way. The texture is watery, clear in colour (not orange like the bottle), and lightweight, with a soft floral fragrance that I really like. This serum is non-greasy and absorbs very quickly, it can feel a tad tacky though. Overall I am quite happy with this serum.

Super Soothing Cica & Aloe Serum

Super Soothing Cica & Aloe Serum is a highly enriched serum that claims to calm sensitive skin and restore the skin’s barrier. In addition, it helps firm the elasticity of the skin. It is suitable for all skin types.

Key ingredients in this serum are 41% Centella Asiatica and 31% Aloe Vera. Alongside these are a seven-layered Hyaluronic Acid and 17 kinds of Amino Acids.

Cica – the nickname for Centella Asiatica, is a herb found mostly in Asia. It is an antioxidant full of antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Cica is effective in calming and repairing the skin, fighting the signs of ageing by stimulating collagen production and strengthening the skin barrier.

This serum is quite the powerhouse, I have noticed my skin is calmer after using this serum. The texture is a lightweight viscous gel with a soft gentle nature fragrance. It is slightly tacky but settles down quickly.

I am really enjoying the calming effect this serum has on my skin.

Snail EX Ultimate Barrier Facial Cream

If you are a skincare enthusiast and are on Instagram chances are you have come across snail mucin skincare products in your time.

Never did I think I would ever put snail mucin on my face, I mean… snails! Slimy secretion from a snail! But as I have learned from this cream, never say never! It has really impressed me, as it is very, very hydrating.

If you have damaged your skin’s barrier through overuse of active ingredients, which I am guilty of, then this will help restore your skin’s barrier. It is perfect for all skin types as it really is non-greasy and non-slimy too! There is some stickiness if you dispense the cream and play with it in between your fingers, but really I just pop it on and it absorbs super quickly. This is also great if you have used a cleanser that has left your skin feeling all tight and stripped, or if you have dry skin. Even if neither of those applies to you, it’s just nice to apply as an added boost of hydration too.

Jumiso assure that no snails are harmed during the process of obtaining the snail mucin. But, if this is a concern to you I suggest contacting Jumiso to have the situation clarified.

Snail EX Ulitmate Barrier facial cream contains snail secretion filtrate of 85.48%. This snail cream is applied after cleansing and toning but before a serum and moisturiser.
