I’m From Rice Toner Review
Toners have certainly evolved a lot from years ago, and are no longer the old astringent formula they used to be. They are more varied now, with gentle formulations. Recently, I have branched out and started trying different toners, rather than just reaching for my usual toner that I have been using for decades now – I am looking at you Johnsons Clean and Clear! While I didn’t have a problem with my old toner, I had been using it since I was a teenager (which is a very long time ago now) and my skincare needs have changed. So, it was time to go on the hunt for a new toner. After trying quite a few different ones out, I finally found a toner that I was 100% happy with – enter the I’m From Rice Toner. I absolutely love this product! Without further ado, let’s get on with my review.
Who Are I’m From?
I’m From are a South Korean skincare company. Established in 2014 by Wishcompany, their sister brand is SKIN&LAB. This brand takes great pride in its transparency and honesty of where each ingredient comes from in South Korea. On each product label, they list the location in South Korea where the ingredient was harvested. They source the highest quality ingredients with minimal chemical processing, they make sure their products contain the maximum amount of selected ingredients in their natural purest form.
I’m From take natural traditional remedies and formulate them for today’s modern skincare routines.
Their products include lines like Mugwort, Honey, Rice, Ginseng, Pear and Fig, each line within the range has products ranging from cleansers, serums, moisturisers, toners, scrub and masks.
I’m From Rice Toner
I’m From rice toner is a brightening and hydrating toner that helps target dull, irritated or ageing skin, but it is suitable for all skin types.
The main ingredient in this toner is… with no surprises… rice! It contains over 77.78% rice extract from the region of Yeoju, South Korea, as well as Niacinamide too.
It has a white milky texture and can be applied by adding some on to a cotton round or cotton ball or alternatively, using your fingers to apply it to your face. This toner needs to be shaken well before each use as it is a dual-layer toner – with a layer of emulsion and a layer of water – so it needs to be mixed prior to use.
There is no fragrance to this toner. The product forms a protective barrier over the skin to prevent water loss and help with hydration.
Retailing from Wishtrend for $28 USD, for a very generous 150ml, which lasts for a long time.

My Thoughts
After my first application, I was definitely not sold on this toner. It had left quite a greasy film on my face. After reading that it actually is supposed to leave a film on your face, and the benefits of this, I tried again, this time a little lighter handed with it. I used way too much the first time around. Now I love the film this toner leaves on my face, it doesn’t feel greasy as I now use much less, it feels super hydrating, which I love.
So finishing up, I am super happy with this toner, and I will continue repurchasing it. I am looking forward to trying the other rice products from the I’m From rice line, which includes a moisturiser and a face mask. I am currently using their rice serum, so a review will be up soon about that!

It’s Great to see a post from you. Where you been? I have not heard about this product and willing to give it a try. I do have oily skin so I need to do some research. Enjoy November my Dear.

Thanks for stopping by Neti. I will have to make a better effort in writing blog posts, but I am still grieving the loss of my husband, so I am finding it hard. I hope you have been well xx

Mica - Away From Blue
It sounds like an interesting toner, although I’m not sure I’d like the film it leaves, even if you got used to it! 🙂
Hope that you had a wonderful weekend! We went to a couple of fun Christmas parties 🙂
Janet
Thanks for reading Mica! It is such a hydrating toner, the film it leaves did take a few applications for me to get used to it, but now I love it! But with everything in skincare its personal preference xx
Shauna
I’ve never know that we could layer toners! The things you learn 🙂 I’m with you and don’t enjoy a greasy layer on my face after using a toner, so I’m glad it helped when you used less of the product. Thanks for your review and have a beautiful weekend xo

Thank you for reading Shauna, it is amazing the things you learn! Whenever I get a new product I tend to use too much of it, I need to stop that! Now I am loving the film this toner leaves as it is so hydrating. xx
