Ole Henriksen Let’s Get Luminous Brightening Essentials Set Review

My love for skincare sets grows! I still feel there is no better way to try new skincare products out than a mini-size. It gives you the chance to experience it before investing in a full-size product. The Ole Henriksen Let’s Get Luminous Brightening Essentials Set has got to be the best skincare set I have tried to date. Having tried the Kate Somerville Hydration Warriors Kit and the Mario Badescu Kit, the Ole Henriksen set is my clear favourite. I love each of the products in this skincare set equally, which is such a bonus. I have become obsessed with Vitamin C in my skincare routine recently, so if you are yet to discover Vitamin C in skincare or already love it, read on for my review!

Truth Serum

The Truth serum is packed full of True C complex – stabilised vitamin C derivatives formulated to brighten and fight visible signs of ageing. Another key ingredient is collagen, to help improve the elasticity of the skin, resulting in a more youthful appearance. It also contains aloe vera to help keep the skin soft, along with orange and green tea extracts to keep the skin nourished.

This was the first Vitamin C serum I had ever tried and it had me hooked on Vitamin C from the first time I tried it. This serum is a delight to apply. It absorbs super quickly, allowing you to continue on with your skincare routine straight away. The fragrance is citrusy and refreshing, I just love it!

Truth C-Rush Brightening Gel Creme

Bursting with Ascorbic Acid, Ole Henriksen’s “gold standard” of pure Vitamin C, the Truth C-Rush Brightening Gel creme helps to improve the visible signs of ageing. Boasting two other sources of Vitamin C which help stabilise the ingredients against oxidation. This creme also contains Rose of Winter extract which is rich in antioxidants to keep the skin nourished. This peachy, tinted lightweight gel creme provides long-lasting hydration while firming and targeting fine lines and wrinkles.

I really love this gel creme, it is beautiful to apply, and it absorbs pretty quickly, not super fast though. I love the citrusy fragrance but it might be a bit strong for others. I would definitely repurchase.

Truth Banana Bright Eye Creme

Again, this product is packed full of Ole Henriksen’s gold standard Ascorbic Acid to brighten under the eye area. It also contains collagen to help improve the skin’s elasticity and banana powder-inspired pigments to illuminate and colour correct.

I found this eye creme to be the most luxurious eye creme I have ever used. I, without a doubt, notice the dark circles under my eyes are brighter when I am using this product. A sign of a well-loved product is when you scrape every last bit out and I do this whenever I am finishing a jar of this eye creme. I forever want to have this eye creme in my skincare routine. Only a little bit of product is needed, as it really does go a long way.

In conclusion, I highly recommend this set if you are new to trying out Vitamin C in your skincare routine, and also if you want to try Ole Henriksen’s Vitamin C best sellers. All three of these products last a very long time. I think the price is very good value for money. I was lucky enough to purchase a second set recently during a Sephora sale for $33 – the packaging has recently changed so they were deleting the old packaging – this was a win for me! All Vitamin C products should be kept out of the daylight to help prevent oxidation, I store mine under my vanity. The value of this set and the product sizing are so good that I would buy this over and over again. This would make a beautiful gift for a skincare addict!
