One Year Roses – Do They Really Last One Year?

Maybe you have seen the beautiful, eternity roses packaged and displayed in gorgeous boxes. They are so stunning and eye-catching, but do one-year roses really last one year? In short, no, but the good news is, they last way longer – like I am talking wayyy longer!

Seriously, I am stunned at how long these beautiful roses last! And yes they are real roses!

I was lucky to receive my Fleur Du Luxe roses for my birthday nearly two years ago, and they still look as beautiful now as the day I received them. These roses bring me so much joy – I mean just look at them, they are gorgeous!

 

 

Who are Fleur Du Luxe?

First and foremost, Fleur Du Luxe is a luxury flower boutique specialising in quality, flower arrangements of eternity roses, long-lasting orchids and hydrangeas.

They are located in Australia, but delivery is available worldwide to over 75 countries.

Bakulia’s Ayupova, the founder and CEO of Fleur Du Luxe, originally a Lawyer and climbing the corporate ladder needed a creative outlet and her entrepreneurial side was emerging.

The business was born out of Bakulia’s love of fresh flowers and wanting to have her own business. These two loves collided when she teamed up with her florist sister and Fleur Du Luxe was created.

The side project grew and grew until Bakulia could finally leave her full-time job and concentrate solely on Fleur Du Luxe, pursuing her dreams.

They are a family-run business, with everyone helping out, including Bakulia’s little girl getting in on the action. Bakulia’s Mum gives a helping hand, which is very much appreciated – aren’t Mums fabulous!

 

 

How do one-year roses last?

 

First of all, the roses are freshly selected and cut in Columbia and Ecuador. Fleur Du Luxe only buys from suppliers who practise eco-friendly production measures, both in their farms and factories. They are committed to sustainable development.

Now, this is the ingenious step – the roses are preserved by a technique developed in Paris using natural non-toxic oils, and then colourants (similar to food dye) are then added to create stunning colours.

Can you believe these preserved roses require no water, none at all! In fact, if you feel you need to water them they won’t be happy and may die, so please remember, no water!

 

 

Fleur Du Luxe Collections

 

The roses are available in 25 different colourways. Roses, hydrangeas and orchids are beautifully presented in either, a white or black signature box.

The boxes come in either square, round or heart-shaped, which are then placed in a Parisian-inspired signature hatbox.

There are also different sizes to choose from at different price points too, there is definitely something to suit everybody’s budget.

How to care for your Roses

 

This is the extremely easy part, as all the hard work has been done for you.

They require little care, only a very light dusting every now and then, I do this by gently blowing the dust off.

It’s best to avoid high humidity and keep your roses out of direct sunlight, as they may fade.

No water is needed.

Leave the roses in their box, they are happy there.

As you can see they are very easy to take care of and they will last and last.
